Sales/Support: Sales period (generally 2 years for 19 inch hardware and at least 5 years for the XS*) incl. full support - meaning the hardware will be supported by all new releases/patches.
Full support: end of sales/ termination of hardware sales, though continuously 2 more years of full support.
Extended support: There is one software version compatible with this specific hardware, though it might not necessarily be the most current version. Hardware can receive up to 3 additional years of extended support, resulting in a total of at least up to 5 years after the official end of sales date. Additionally, we provide a currently supported and on top certified version of the software, as well as a currently supported software version with VS-NFD accreditation. These may potentially be three different versions.
End of life (EoL): termination of all sales of this specific hardware, NO more software support (releases, patches), update service beyond this date is NOT possible!
With every new software release, you may find information regarding currently supported hardware in its corresponding release notes. Even if these specific details aren't listed yet, software releases will support a hardware model as long as they are published within the time period preceding the hardware's EoL.
If a hardware model is supported, it can inherently be assumed that all patches related to a specific software release will be applicable to this hardware. After the EoL date though, there will be no more guarantees that patches will be continuously tested on this hardware.
